What I've grown to hate...

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 19, 2005, 3:49 PM
Yes, I've grown to hate this word,"Anime." I hate the word so much now. I mean, why is it a word that's only used to describe the work of the Japanese? Why isn't there a word that describes the cartooning method that exists in France? England? China!? Or even Germany? Why?

It's a pretty racist word if you ask me. In fact, it's not even a style. When all the people who do cartooning in Japan don't even draw alike. How can you call it a style when no one draws alike or even has the same concepts of cartooning that Anime or Manga "Styles" portray? It's disgusting!

Anime literally is Animeeshon, which literally means,"Animated Cartoon."

Manga literally means,"Cartoon," or "Comic."

It doesn't make sense that we should use Japanese words to describe a non-existant cartooning style. It sickens me.

And don't tell me,"It's the American Definition of Anime." Well you know what? Fuck the American definition, because the Japanese are already upset that we adopted the word and are using it incorrectly. Many Japanese call cartoons like,"Family Guy" or "Futurama," Anime. And yet, we can't even see that here in America? It's so fucking stupid I tell you!

Why is Anime and Manga even considered a style?! The Japanese call it cartoons when they're here in America, and I've been told this by at least 3 Japanese people who live here. A Music Studio Receptionist, A Hair Stylist, and an Author of a freakin' Japanese to English Dictionary. And in the dictionary, I don't see anywhere where the Japanese Slang word,"Anime" refers to a cartooning style.

P.S. If Anime really meant,"Japanese Cartoons." Then it would say,"Nippon no Animeeshon."

It's that time again...

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 23, 2005, 9:45 AM
Well, you guys know what time it is? Half-passed a cow's ass. Anyway. I have been drawing in my sketch book a lot and not doing much on my tablet... I feel my EXP on my tablet draining away.... T_T Well, I've got a new concept for my image. I'm growing my hair folks. That's right, and then... I'm going to braid it like Edward Elric's. When I get the chance to scan my pictures, I'll show you them.

Anyway, on to the next story. I want to do a Christmas picture for Christmas. I should, and every time I've said that, I've never done it. Ooooh the procrastination... Anyway, I'm deciding, should I draw me with my sister in Christmas clothing? red and white? Sounds pretty traditional. Well, TELL ME YOUR IDEAS DAMMIT!!

I am so Pissed off... [EDIT]

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 30, 2005, 5:46 PM
Yesterday, I was working on a master piece, specially made for Halloween. It was of my character, Van Pyre. I had just finished it, saved the RIFF file and made a JPG copy. I knew I shouldn't have quit Corel Painter. 'Cause when I did, I made the GREATEST and most GRAVE mistake EVER. I went to open the picture of the JPG copy in Adobe Photoshop CS, and it came out pixelated and crap. I went back to open up the RIFF file in Corel painter and the contrast, color, quality, and stuff were RUINED. completey and utterly RUINED. I was so pissed off I almost cracked the screen of my TV in my dad's house. UGH!! I'm still pissed off. Well... Happy Halloween folks. I'll try at Van Pyre again.

PS. I just came up with an idea for Van Pyre's, sexy, sidekick. Her name? Suka Buse. MWAHAHAHAHHAA!

Like Dante and Trish.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Journal Entry: Thu Oct 13, 2005, 7:18 AM
Yes folks! I watched FFVII:AC! I'm sooo happy I watched it! And no, I didn't download it, I bought it. And then me and my friends were watching it with Swedish Subtitles... for a while.... I loved the music that was composed for the movie. The graphics were absolutely stunning! Every aspect of the movie was so realistic!

In other news, my boyfriend broke up with me... For reasons that I am an understandable person. But, I'm not upset... It was bound to happen anyway.

By the way, for those who are interested when I say Final Fantasy VII: AC has great music. Download the song,"Let the Battles Begin!" The battle theme from Final Fantasy VII is now played on Piano and it sounds so freakin' awesome!
